Experience

JLB Architectural Engineering experience includes both fixed and operating windows, ribbon windows, punched openings, storefronts, doors, entrances, interior glass walls, curtainwall systems - including structural glazing, flush glazing, pressure bar designs, etc. Among our services, we provide shop drawings, extrusion detailing, fabrication drawings, material take-offs, specifications, and field inspection.

Throughout the years, JLB Architectural Engineering has provided services for projects all across the United States. Our project locations include major cities such as: New York City, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, Honolulu, and Toronto, Canada. Our highest profile international work is in Jedda, Saudi Arabia, (a curtainwall project for the National Bank of Saudi Arabia) was recognized as one of the top three international buildings of the century by Engineering News Record.

History

In 1992, JLB Architectural Engineering was founded by Jeffrey L. Bortner, P.E. to provide the Glass and Aluminium Industry with Architectural Shop Drawing Services.

Our office is conveniently located in York, PA midway between Harrisburg, PA and Baltimore, MD (just west of the intersection of Route 30 and Interstate 83). We are within easy driving distance of Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia and Harrisburg.
